California Community Colleges Chancellor Dr. Brice W. Harris gives the 2015 State of the System address, his final such address as chancellor. He discusses the current system priorities, the system’s improved focus on helping veterans and celebrates the 30-year anniversary of the BOG Fee Waiver program.

It’s not too late to donate to Hands Across California
Thousands of California community college supporters came out April 17 for Hands Across California. Not only did they join hands, but they increased awareness of the system’s budget shortfall, its role and impact on the state’s economic future and they helped raise much-needed scholarship money.
White House Summit on Community College
In honor of the brave men and women who serve our country, the Chancellor’s Office posted the above video on the White House Summit on Community Colleges' website. We invite the nation to see the many ways the California Community Colleges are serving veterans who have returned home from war. This was our effort to put a face on our system of 112 colleges and share the heroic efforts of our faculty, staff and administrators who work to transform the lives of those who enter our classrooms. This video also features a few of our more well known alumni. It includes a brief phone interview with Jeremy Renner who starred in the movie, The Hurt Locker, and highlights Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Clint Eastwood.
